Join our academic team as a Lecturer in Early Childhood Development at our dynamic educational institution in Cape Town. This role is crucial for fostering an enriching learning environment, specifically tailored to Early Childhood Development. The ideal candidate will engage students through innovative teaching methods designed to enhance their learning and developmental outcomes.

Job Requirements:
A relevant qualification in Early Childhood Development or a closely related field, with a preference for candidates holding a postgraduate degree to qualify for degree-level teaching.
Familiarity with both Further and Higher Education frameworks, particularly in the context of Early Childhood Development.
SACE registration is optional; however, candidates should be prepared to register if they have not already done so.
At least 1 year of lecturing experience, with a preference for candidates with 3 or more years.
Proven ability to develop educational programs and materials tailored to ECD.
Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.
Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written English.

Main Responsibilities:
Deliver educational content in ECD through engaging and interactive lectures, ensuring high levels of student interaction and comprehension.
Support student retention and success in ECD through innovative educational initiatives.
Develop, review, and enhance teaching materials and assessments in ECD to ensure they remain relevant and of high quality.
Provide student support through consultations, focusing on academic success in ECD.
Participate in academic development and integrated quality assurance tasks to maintain high educational standards in ECD.
Key Performance Areas:
Lecturing and Student Engagement in ECD: 50%
Student Support and Success Consultations in ECD: 5%
Assessments and Moderation in ECD: 15%
Study Material Development in ECD: 10%
Academic and Quality Assurance Activities in ECD: 10%
