The Student Journey Officer is responsible for all administrative tasks associated with the HET/NATED and FET programmes that are offered at the campus. Aligned to policies and procedures, the Programme Administrator provides both administrative and functional support to the campus to ensure quality programme delivery at campus and a quality student administrative service and experience resulting in student retention. The Student Journey Officer is the go-to person for all students and their associated queries for resolutions within 24 hours.
Educational requirements:
Minimum requirement of Grade 12 however a post school qualification more advantageous
Minimum 3 years proven experience in academic and programme administration
Technical knowledge of integrated quality assurance administration in order to comply with accreditation criteria
Knowledge of which programmes are regulated by which regulatory body – DHET, CHE, UMALUSI, QCFTO, SETAs and professional bodies such as SABPP
Technical skills in the use of the ICAS student information system
Organized administration systems and practices that adhere to policies and procedures
MS office proficient
Duties and Responsibilities:
Administration of the student onboarding process. From application to registration, enrolment and orientation
Academic department administration student records, academic reports and certification/graduation
Student success and retention including student query management and resolution
Programme facilitation, including assessment administration, materials, textbooks and resources
Student and lecturer surveys and feedback per programme
General administrative tasks
