Our client, a leading distributor of renewable energy solutions, who has established strong partnerships with renowned brands, is seeking a head of sales to join their team. 
 
They would be responsible for driving the sales strategy and leading the sales team to achieve growth in the solar industry sector. This role focuses on driving sales growth by developing and implementing strategic sales plans, managing key client relationships, and expanding market presence. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly in solar, with a proven ability to consistently exceed sales targets.
 
Minimum Requirements: 
Bachelor's degree in related field
Minimum five years in similar role 
Industry qualifications and certifications preferable 
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of solar industry 
 
Duties and Responsibilities: 
Cultivate a high-performance sales culture by promoting collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
Establish and nurture strong relationships with key clients, including commercial, industrial, and government entities.
Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities and partnerships within the solar industry.
Provide strategic guidance and support to major accounts, ensuring satisfaction with products, services, and overall customer experience.
Track, manage, and optimize the sales pipeline to ensure consistent follow-ups and deal closures.
Lead the development of compelling sales proposals, presentations, and contracts in alignment with company standards.
Deliver regular sales performance reports to senior management, highlighting key successes and areas for growth.
Forge strategic partnerships with installers, distributors, and other stakeholders in the solar value chain.
Expand market reach by identifying and establishing new distribution channels for solar products and services.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with third-party partners to accelerate sales growth.
Stay informed about emerging solar technologies, market dynamics, and regulatory updates in the renewable energy sector.
Work closely with product and marketing teams to develop targeted sales strategies for new products and solutions.
Ensure the sales team has deep product knowledge and can effectively communicate value propositions to clients.
Oversee the sales department’s budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation to maximize revenue.
Monitor and control sales expenses to meet profitability objectives.
Drive high levels of customer satisfaction and champion continuous improvements in product and service delivery.
Gather and analyze customer feedback to enhance offerings and refine the overall customer experience.
