Minimum Requirements:
Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Agronomy or a related field, or Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Agriculture with a specialization in Agronomy and Soil Science.
Valid South African driver's license.
SACNASP (South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions) registration is highly advantageous.
Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable experience in agronomy with a focus on irrigation management, preferably within an agricultural setting.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement and manage advanced irrigation scheduling technologies, utilizing data analysis and modelling to create customised irrigation plans that optimise water usage and crop health.
Conduct thorough soil and crop assessments to determine optimal irrigation strategies that promote healthy plant growth and resource conservation.
Provide expert agronomic advice to internal and external stakeholders, including farmers and industry partners, on irrigation management, soil health, and crop performance.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in irrigation technologies and agronomic practices to continually improve efficiency and sustainability.
Generate comprehensive reports detailing irrigation strategies, crop performance data, and recommendations for ongoing optimization.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure a holistic approach to agricultural management.
