Develop your networking career in the managed data network services industry, supporting multiple client environments across connectivity, routing, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN, wireless and firewall-related issues.
This role offers hands-on technical variety with exposure to Fortinet, MikroTik and UniFi environments.
Minimum Requirements:
IT, networking or related degree, diploma or certificate advantageous
2 or more years’ IT support or networking experience, ideally within an MSP, support desk or client-facing technical environment
Working knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, NAT, basic routing, wireless, VPN and firewall fundamentals
Exposure to FortiGate firewalls, FortiClient VPN, MikroTik routing basics and UniFi wireless/switching advantageous
Windows Server / Active Directory basics and RDP or remote support tool exposure advantageous
Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle
Structured and logical troubleshooting approach
Able to work across multiple client environments and follow SOPs
Strong documentation habits and attention to detail
Professional communication with technical and non-technical users
Able to work under pressure and escalate appropriately
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide first- and second-line network support across multiple client environments
Troubleshoot connectivity, routing, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN, wireless and firewall-related issues
Assist with firewall changes, policy checks, NAT/object updates and FortiClient VPN troubleshooting under guidance where required
Support environments using technologies such as Fortinet, MikroTik and UniFi
Work with ticketing systems, remote support tools and documented escalation processes
Read and interpret basic network diagrams and maintain accurate technical notes
Prioritise and manage multiple support tickets while maintaining clear client communication
Escalate complex technical matters to senior engineers with clear troubleshooting notes and evidence
