FMCG Sales Operations Executive (JB5646)
Location: Windhoek, Namibia
Salary: Negotiable based on experience
Employment Type: Permanent
Work authorisation: Namibian citizen or existing right to work in Namibia required.
A leading FMCG distributor is seeking a hands-on Sales & Operations Executive to own growth, drive OTIF service levels, and lead a sizable field and sales organisation across Namibia’s modern and traditional trade. You’ll set the commercial vision per principal/brand, turn data into action, and serve as the connective tissue between Key Accounts, Field Marketing, Merchandising, and Warehouse/Distribution.
The ideal candidate will bring proven leadership experience in FMCG sales operations, with the ability to manage and inspire large, diverse teams across sales, field marketing, and merchandising. Your approach is hands-on and target-driven; you are as comfortable being in trade with your team as you are analysing performance data behind the desk. You have strong technical capability, with advanced Excel/BI skills and the confidence to pull and interpret data independently to drive action.
You demonstrate a sophisticated and inspirational management style, motivating and developing people at every level, from merchandisers to executives, while holding teams accountable to high performance. You understand sales processes end-to-end, with deep expertise in forecasting, budgeting, and KPI management, and you use this to deliver consistent improvements in service levels.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field.
Proven experience in sales operations, or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of sales processes, methodologies, and techniques.
Proficient in using CRM systems, such as Salesforce and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong business acumen and understanding of sales and revenue metrics.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement sales strategies and tactics that align with business objectives.
Manage and optimise the sales process from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness at each stage.
Optimise supply chain regarding nominated order and delivery days, ensuring OTIF service levels are met.
Analyse sales data and metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
Provide regular reports and insights on key performance indicators (KPIs).
Champion the streamlining and automation processes within the sales function.
Develop and maintain sales forecasts and budgets, monitoring sales performance against targets and providing recommendations for improvements.
Provide sales support and guidance to the team, including training on sales tools, processes, and techniques.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Warehouse and Distribution, to ensure alignment and seamless coordination in achieving sales objectives.
Identify and resolve operational issues promptly.
Develop and train team members for operational excellence.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for business growth and stay updated on industry trends.
We’re committed to finding the right person. If you’re an FMCG leader who blends strategy with execution and wants to make a tangible impact, we’d love to hear from you.
