A well-established manufacturer with over 40 years of experience in the coating and sealant industry is looking for a motivated and self-driven Sales Representative to develop and manage the Western Cape region, with a particular focus on Cape Town. The company supplies products exclusively to the retail trade, servicing major national retailers, hardware groups, and furniture manufacturers. This newly created role presents an exciting opportunity to grow an untapped market, working with an established brand and product line while building strong client relationships

Minimum Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sales Representative (FMCG or hardware/sealant industry preferred)
Valid Code B driver’s license
Own reliable vehicle (non-negotiable)
Strong written and verbal communication skills (English essential, Afrikaans advantageous)
Ability to cold call and secure new business
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision (remote role)
Team player with a positive attitude and adaptability to new challenges
Familiarity with large retail group procedures (Massmart, Builders Warehouse, Micah, Bright’s) advantageous

Duties and Responsibilities:
Service and grow sales with existing retail clients in the Western Cape (Cape Town central, southern suburbs, West Coast region)
Identify and secure new business opportunities through cold calling and client visits
Obtain orders at store level and ensure they are processed through the administrative office
Merchandise products in-store to ensure strong visibility and correct placement
Provide training and product knowledge to retail sales staff
Participate in promotions and marketing campaigns, including occasional weekend events
Handle customer service queries and provide timely feedback to clients
Maintain and update customer information, sales leads, and reporting documentation
Submit weekly call sheets and daily field reports for tracking and accountability
Collaborate with management on sales strategies and execution plans
