A well-established company in the lubricants, oils, and fuel solutions sector is looking for an experienced and driven External Sales Representative to join their Johannesburg team. This role is perfect for a hunter with a proven ability to secure new business and a relationship-builder who can effectively service and grow existing accounts. You’ll be part of a team committed to delivering high-performance products and excellent customer service across various industrial and commercial sectors.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 3 years external sales experience
Proven track record in both business development (cold calling, prospecting) and key account management (client retention, upselling)
Experience selling into industrial, automotive, or manufacturing environments (lubricants, fuels, chemicals, or related)
Strong presentation and negotiation skills
Valid driver's license
Able to travel locally within Gauteng and occasionally beyond
Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within your assigned territory
Build, manage, and maintain strong relationships with existing clients
Conduct site visits, product demos, and client meetings regularly
Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and service offerings
Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
Keep accurate records of sales activity and maintain CRM updates
Stay informed on competitor activity and industry trends
Report regularly to management on pipeline activity and sales performance
