3-year Fixed Term Contract
Seeking an experienced Land Surveyor to provide surveying expertise for the RDP housing and clinic construction project in Chintsa, Eastern Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting land surveys, preparing maps and plans, and ensuring accurate measurements for township establishment and infrastructure development. Candidates that meet all requirements and are available to start by no later than 20 March 2025 are invited to apply
Minimum Requirements:
Relevant degree in Land Surveying or Geomatics.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in township establishment projects.
Registered with SAGC (South African Geomatics Council) as a Professional Land Surveyor.
Proficiency in surveying tools, GIS software, and CAD applications.
Strong knowledge of township layout, zoning regulations, and cadastral surveying.
Experience with public sector land development and infrastructure projects.
Ability to interpret site plans, topographical data, and legal land descriptions.
Strong understanding of South African land-use laws and municipal regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct site surveys and measurements to support the township establishment process.
Prepare topographical maps, cadastral plans, and land-use assessments.
Ensure compliance with SAGC regulations and municipal land development frameworks.
Work closely with town planners, engineers, and project managers to integrate land survey data into project planning.
Verify boundaries, easements, and land subdivisions to support zoning and infrastructure layouts.
Provide surveying reports and technical documentation for project approvals.
Oversee fieldwork, data collection, and mapping to ensure accuracy and quality.
Assist in resolving land disputes, legal compliance issues, and site-related challenges.
