We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Retail Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with stock control, merchandising, and providing exceptional customer service. Proficiency in Pastel/Point of Sale systems and Microsoft Office is essential, as well as be fully bilingual. The role also requires maintaining a clean and well-organized store environment, ensuring smooth operations, and interacting closely with both the Shop Manager and customers.
Minimum Requirements:
1 – 2 years experience within a retail environment
Grade 12 Certificate
Proficiency in Pastel/Point of Sale (POS) systems
Strong command of Microsoft Office
Bilingual – able to communicate fluently in both English and Afrikaans
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong knowledge of Pastel/Point of Sale systems
High attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Friendly and professional demeanour
Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure product availability
Arrange and display stock effectively to promote sales
Ensure the store is kept clean, organized, and presentable at all times
Work closely with the Shop Manager to meet store goals and provide excellent customer service
Assist customers to the best of your ability atall times
