Minimum Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a laboratory management or Assistant Management role.
Must be a SANAS Technical Signatory
Proficiency in test methods and laboratory audits
Relevant experience in managing laboratory operations.
SANAS ISO 17025 Laboratory Systems and Internal Auditing Certification
Valid driver’s license.
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensuring resources for effective implementation of the system
Conducting validation/verifications and uncertainty of measurement of test methods
Managing equipment, supplies, and services before being put into use in the laboratory
Managing equipment and taking equipment out of service when necessary
Signing off on test reports
Supervising junior staff and laboratory staff
Ensuring laboratory activities are managed to safeguard impartiality and confidentiality
Ensuring compliance with company codes and health and safety procedures
Reviewing and approving documents
Compiling and reporting on management reports
Training and declaring testers competent
Conducting proficiency testing including inter/intra-laboratory testing
Conducting Internal Audits of commercial and site laboratories
