As a Business Development Manager, your primary objective is to drive the generation of new business within designated industry verticals for our client in the logistics and freight industry. This entails actively marketing their products and establishing enduring business relationships with target accounts. You will employ a structured sales approach to sell the company’s primary products and supply chain solutions both locally and internationally.

The ideal candidate will possess at least 5 to 10 years of Sales Experience, preferably in the 3/4 PL and/or Freight Forwarding Industry.

Minimum Requirements:
Strong sales experience with a background in business development and strategic selling methodologies.
Demonstrable ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
Solid understanding of sales processes, supply chain dynamics, and customer service principles.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM capabilities.
Bachelor's degree or relevant Post Graduate Qualification.
At least 5 to 10 years of Sales Experience, preferably in the 3/4 PL and/or Freight Forwarding Industry.
Experience with bids and tenders

Duties and Responsibilities:
New Business Development:
Prospect, develop, and manage new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and identifying potential clients within designated industry verticals.
Acquire new business with a focus on Medium, Large, Multinational, and Global accounts.
Tender/RFP/RFQ Management:
Ensure timely attendance to and capture of bids, tenders, RFQs, and RFPs into the CRM system for all team initiatives.
Sales Management:
Manage your own sales targets and oversee the financial responsibility of team members (e.g., cell phone allowances, fuel cards, e-tolls).
Lead and mentor a team, if applicable, leveraging demonstrable ability in team management and leadership.
Skills Development and Innovation:
Foster skills development within the team and encourage innovative thinking to meet client needs effectively.
Continuously seek cost-saving initiatives and think outside the box to provide solutions.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM):
Utilize the CRM system optimally to manage client relationships, track sales activities, and ensure efficient communication both internally and externally.
