Salary: R90 000 to R100 000 per month plus commission

A growing ICT products and services company is expanding its regional footprint and looking for a sharp, commercially driven Sales Manager to take ownership of the Western Cape market. Operating in a lean, fast-moving environment built on agility and client responsiveness, this business has earned a strong reputation for delivering technology solutions with speed and precision. This is a rare opportunity for an ICT sales leader who already has the relationships, the market credibility, and the drive to hit the ground running in the Western Cape. The successful candidate will not be warming up a pipeline from scratch. They will be activating existing connections, leading a small regional team, and converting relationships with clients, vendors, and distributors into real revenue. This role sits at the intersection of strategic leadership and hands-on deal-making, reporting into the Business Development Manager and overseeing a team that includes two Technical Account Managers and an Internal Sales resource.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred
10 or more years of experience in a sales management or senior sales leadership role within the ICT sector
Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and drive high-performing sales teams
Experience managing complex, large-scale sales opportunities including strategic bids and tender submissions
Strong background in sales forecasting, pipeline management, KPI tracking and data-driven decision-making
Established, verifiable relationships with clients, vendors and distributors within the Western Cape ICT market
Existing regional network and market credibility, with the ability to access decision-makers without an extended ramp-up period
Proven track record of converting relationships into measurable revenue, gross profit and repeat business
Strong understanding of ICT vendor ecosystems including Dell, HP, HPE, Huawei, Lenovo, Veeam and related OEM operations
Solid grasp of ICT products and solutions across hardware, infrastructure, storage, virtualisation, end-user computing and associated services
Demonstrated knowledge of government procurement processes, tender requirements and bid compliance
Excellent pricing, negotiation and commercial deal-structuring skills
Key Responsibilities
Leverage established Western Cape market relationships to open doors, access decision-makers and generate new business opportunities
Act as the regional representative for the company, strengthening its presence, credibility and positioning across the Western Cape
Personally engage in strategic client meetings, vendor negotiations, deal registrations and pricing discussions
Take direct ownership of high-value opportunities and support the team in driving deals through to closure
Develop and execute the Western Cape sales strategy in alignment with business objectives and revenue targets
Monitor pipeline health, forecast accuracy, quote activity, tender opportunities and deal conversion
Ensure sales targets, gross profit targets and key performance indicators are met or exceeded
Identify new market opportunities and competitor activity to support regional business growth
Lead, guide and develop the Technical Account Managers and Internal Sales team in the Western Cape
Set clear performance expectations and conduct structured performance reviews in line with company policy
Provide hands-on support on key accounts, strategic opportunities and complex deals
Maintain senior-level relationships with key clients, vendors and distributors in the region
Work with vendors and distributors to improve pricing, deal registration, stock availability and opportunity support
Implement a structured key account management approach to drive client retention and repeat business
Ensure the team completes required OEM and vendor certifications including Dell, HP, Huawei, Lenovo, Veeam and Nutanix
Report to the Business Development Manager on sales performance, pipeline, forecasts, market activity and key opportunities
Prepare structured monthly and quarterly sales updates for management
Track key sales metrics including pipeline growth, deal closure, revenue, gross profit and lost opportunities
Monitor sales-related expenditure and ensure regional activities are commercially justified
Maintain compliance with company policies, tender requirements, pricing processes and internal sales procedures
